The power is in the collection of services Wave supports: they are providing a new security layer for smart cards, biometrics, stored data, emails, distributed mobile intranets etc.
Companies that are specialists in, say, the full disk encryption vertical are going to struggle to provide products in the horizontals which Wave operates across.
Now ETS can be seen as a platform rather than a product. It no longer competes in a specific vertical. It is a broad security platform with multiple facets.
There won't be a buyout in the foreseeable future. That's at best a want of ambition and at worst a canard devised by people with a hostile agenda.
