Busch won in his 97th and final start driving the No. 5 Chevrolet.

Fresh off his win in Friday night's truck race, Kyle Busch went out and won his first NASCAR Busch Series race at Phoenix International Raceway in his final series start with Hendrick Motorsports.

After a dominating performace, leading 132 laps, Busch was able to grab his 11th career win in the Arizona.Travel 200 after he held off Matt Kenseth on a green-white-checkered finish.

"To go out winning a race that's pretty special," Busch said.

The victory came in his 108th start with Hendrick Motorsports with 97 of the them coming behind the wheel of the No. 5 Chevrolet. Busch started his Hendrick Busch Series tenure driving the No. 87 seven times after the team formed an alliance with Joe Nemechek's NEMCO Motorsports. Four more of his starts came in the No. 57 HMS machine.

"Rick Hendrick gave me my start. I won't ever forget that," Busch said.

After celebrating in victory lane, Busch departed to Las Vegas to compete in the season finale Fall Classic super late model feature at the Las Vegas Bullring.

Defending race winner Kenseth's second-place finish was his sixth consecutive finish of eighth or better at PIR.

"I feel bad - we got beat again this week," Kenseth said. "We just came up a little bit short. We were off of front grip in the middle of the corner and Kyle's in good stuff and he's a great race car driver. He's real smart, he knew where to put his car exactly in the right spot so I couldn't pass him."

Along with trying to pass Busch, Kenseth had to battle a car without power steering.

"Physically it wasn't that hard to turn but at the end of the run, it would stick wherever you had it," Busch said. "It was really hard to feel the front tires. You'd give it so much wheel, you couldn't tell if the tires were chattering or not. You'd have to give it some more. It was tough for that and was tough to catch it if you got loose."

Power steering wasn't the only problem for Kenseth, after the race NASCAR found the right rear quarter panel of his No. 17 Ford to be too high during post-race inspection.

Richard Childress Racing rounded out the top five with spring Phoenix winner Clint Bowyer finishing third. Kevin Harvick was unable to get by Scott Wimmer for fourth in the closing laps to extend the owner's championship another week.

Kasey Kahne, Carl Edwards, Jason Leffler, Jamie McMurray and Ron Hornaday completed the top-10 finishers.

The NASCAR Busch Series will wrap up the season with next Saturday's Ford 300 at Homestead-Miami Speedway.

Mark Martin is scheduled to drive the No. 5 Chevrolet in that event.
