Carry ?...again....

Just dawned on me....cuz I just checked up on the status of the trade.....as instructed, I went long NZ/US & Long turtle w/equal amts.....ystrdy as mentioned the trade was well up, at that time I shoulda figured hey, if it can be well up, then of course it can also be well down....which it is now.

I thought a true carry trade is always balanced...if there's losses on one side, there should be pretty much equal gains on the other...thus leaving you w/the interest.

Right now this trade is under water by over $4,200.....no carry should ever be under water by that much.....what am I missen here?
