sanddollar...I got a question that hasn't been brought up for a long time. Did they ever get any PLI?
(Product Liability Insurance) My guess is NO!

How much do you think that would cost? From my own experience I can tell you the cost is ridiculous. A few years ago I became a distributor for a new fishing reel (they beat Penn Reels hands down too!) and I had to have PLI to get the reels into West Marine. I passed on West Marine because the cost was not worth it.

There is a big difference between a fishing reel in the sporting industry and Vali-Med in the medical field and the Myth Gun in the law enforcement field. I believe the cost of PLI on those two products would be astronomical. And CDEX can't even afford plane fare out of the country.
