Well, my first thought is that he is having to take care of 8 months of no leadership in the company. Things like HR policies, order processes, sales processes, personnel changes - there are a ton of non-(let's keep the investors informed)things that a new CEO has to do. The fact that he said "I am very encouraged" rather than "there is a lot more to do" means to me that whatever changes he is making are going well.
