Are you suggesting a strengthened N. American FTA? This western hemisphere (not just the northern), has all the ingredients for long-term growth and prosperity. Oil, ag., investment capital, exploitable labor markets, technology, tourism... but unfortunately not enough manufacturing, and there is a huge decline by those that do. After all, we live in a world of nouns and the entire G-8 and the whole Asian basin has acquired wealth because of just that.. manufacturing.
