Allen Fletcher Announces He Is Running for State Representative - District 130
6:00 AM ET - Market Wire

NuTech, Inc. (PINKSHEETS: NTCI), an emerging provider of innovative technology solutions for the security industry, announces today that retired Houston police B. Allen Fletcher will seek the Republican nomination to be the next State Representative for District 130 of Harris County, Texas. Fletcher is the President and CEO of Resource Protection Management, LP (RPM), a security company in which NuTech, Inc. has a 51% ownership interest.

Here is text of the November 1st announcement:

This morning, retired police officer, business owner and the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce Chairman Allen Fletcher officially announced his candidacy for State Representative - District 130. With a long history of community involvement, Allen knows public service is a life long commitment not just something to dabble in around election time.

"I am excited about the new challenges in front of me as I begin to campaign for the Republican nomination for State Representative - District 130," Allen Fletcher remarked. "For the last several weeks, while considering this decision, I talked to a great number of people about our state government," Mr. Fletcher offered. "While backgrounds may differ, responses have all remained the same.

Our elected representatives over-promised on property tax cuts, spent too much of our money, failed to fill in the gap on the border, made it more difficult for middle class folks to send their kids to college and now, to top it all off, we have an income tax on businesses in Texas," Allen Fletcher said. "I'm looking forward to the contrasts in representation this campaign will bring forward. I am confident after voters have a chance to review the candidates they too will decide it is time for change," Fletcher remarked.

"This past weekend I took my son Blake, a military policeman, to Fort Benning for an anticipated deployment to Iraq. My son-in-law Greg, a National Guardsman, recently returned from a tour of duty in Afghanistan. It is their service to our country that has inspired me to offer my service to the fine people in District 130. I will run a clean campaign, respectful of the voters, based on the issues and past voting records," Fletcher remarked.

Texas House District 130 is wholly contained in northwest Harris County and includes the cities of Waller and Tomball as well as the areas of Klein and Cypress-Fairbanks. The district is represented in the Texas Senate by Senator Dan Patrick who received 80% of the district's primary vote in 2006 in a four way contested race. Senator Patrick introduced Mr. Fletcher to the district's precinct chairs during a reception Senator Patrick recently hosted.

"I met with a good number of the Republican precinct chairmen for this district who immediately endorsed my candidacy. They too are encouraged by my message; believe it is time for change and know I will represent them honorably," Allen offered. "A vast majority of the voters are turned off by what they see happening in Austin and Washington, and I know my positive message for change will resonate with the voters," Fletcher concluded.

Allen Fletcher is a graduate of Sam Houston State University and a twenty-one year veteran law man with the Houston Police Department; rising in ranks from a uniformed patrol officer to detective to the Public Integrity Review Group to the Office of Inspector General receiving numerous commendations along the way. In 1998, Mr. Fletcher retired from HPD to start an asset protection company named Resource Protection Management (RPM). RPM has developed into a company that provides a full spectrum of security solutions for commercial, educational, governmental, and residential consumers. Mr. Fletcher has dedicated his career to serving and protecting the public as well as the corporate community.

His commitment to the community is evident through his volunteer work with the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, Tomball Rotary Club, Christian Business Luncheon, North Harris-Montgomery County College District Business Advisory, Tomball Emergency Preparedness Committee and the State Bar of Texas Review Committee.

He is a member of the Sam Houston State University Alumni Board of Directors, the President's Circle and sponsors a scholarship for criminal justice at SHSU. Mr. Fletcher is a lifetime member of the Houston Police Officers Association, Homicide Investigators of Texas, and Associate Member of the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners. Mr. Fletcher is a Christian and a member of the Spring Creek Church of Christ. He and his wife Penny have two daughters and a son.
