Then this September he tried to sell most of his loot to a second hand dealer called The Estate Department. He didn't tell the dealer about his little problem with the SEC, and demanded that he be paid in cash. Then he lied to the SEC itself, telling them that the items in question were the property of his wife Barbara.
He used the money from the sales to pay his lawyer.
