This is not a desirable outcome. Do you know the circumstances? Possibly if the previous chairman (Moore?) wanted to retire, Andy was the next best candidate. But it's clear since he stepped down from CEO one year later that Grove recognized the importance of having an objective board.

You can let me know how many other executive staff members were also board members at that time. If it's more than zero, you may have a point.
