Admin: Changing aliases:
Whenever someone changes their name by requesting it of admin, it changes their name retroactively on their previous posts. So, if I go looking for JOHNDOE and he has changed his name to LEROYDIPTHONG, I can't find him.
It seems to me (with all due respect to the long list of changes admin already has) that I should be able to plug in JOHNDOE and get some message that says it has been changed to LEROYDIPTHONG.
Even better, I should get a list that shows all the previous aliases in chronological order.
AKA BUTTHEAD
AKA JOEBLOW
AKA JOHNDOE
LEROYDIPTHONG
AND.... The profile page should show all previous aliases so that 1) it reflects on their credibility and 2) you know who the heck you are talking to!
How often do you have a new person come on a board and you start conversing with them only to find out that they are somebody you already knew - or somebody that the board has had trouble with. You should be able to click their name and see if it is anyone you are already aware of.
I realize you probably have no database that shows prior changes (up to this point). However, IHUB will be around for a long time and this could start now and be useful from here on out.
