I remember the company as far as 3 years back always positioning Bavi as an adjuvant to current SOC in both Cancer and viral apps so I don't see what the big surprise here would be. I also remember clinicians like Godofsky and others stating that HCV and HIV therapies would always involve a combo of drugs. VRTX CEO said as much recently also as he expects his drug to be part of that combo. If anything it is the posters here who got it wrong, not the company. All JMO.
