What the heck. I went to his website and filled out the form and emailed him the following. It was a slow evening. Who knows whether his office will respond. Hope I got the general details correct.
Dear Senator Bunning,
I read with great interest your recent speech on the subject of Coal-To-Liquid processes as one solution to our nation's energy needs. It is a perfect fit considering that we are sitting on such large reserves of coal in this nation.
As a lifelong resident of Pennsylvania, another coal producing state, I am pleased to hear of your commitment to visionary solutions that utilize "home grown" energy resources.
I only wish that I would have heard somthing like that from our state's leaders.
You may be interested to know, if you do not already, that there is a business plan already in motion in Kentucky that matches leading edge technology to the very idea you have proposed, and it is being pursued by an American company.
I speak of NSOL and its subsidiary FFI, which have
been building s business plan for the last three or so years, and have the proprietary technology ready to accomplish the same vision you have proposed.
I would certainly welcome a response indicating what the status of your office's participation or knowledge in this venture.
Respectfully,
Anthony N. Mark III
