25-Oct-07 08:26 ET In Play Corning and Riverbed Networks recommended in Barrons Online : Barrons Online reports consider Corning (GLW), which makes glass for LCD television sets, which Wednesday reported a very healthy 21% sales growth in September. It forecast profit growth of 23% for the fourth quarter, but because the sales outlook was light, the stock fell 6%. Or consider Riverbed Networks (RVBD), which Tuesday reported that its sales had jumped 157% in the third quarter. It forecast profit this quarter of 19 cents, versus 3 cents a year earlier, but its shares on Wednesday fell 38%.
