I heard from IR:
Jonathan, representing AAGH as an IR independent contractor out of Orange County CA called me this afternoon. Here are the questions that he answered...
1. Why was AAGH so quiet after announcing the WWTBAM deal?
Mak feels that accuracy is a very high priority when communicating with the public. He will not relase any info unless he is sure that it is final and accurate. He felt a little burned when May was the announced starting date for WWTBAM and they weren't able to start that soon. He is extra careful now.
2. Is the newsletter available through the website?
There is no newsletter at this time.
3. When is the next Q expected to be filed?
Within 50 days of the end of the quarter.
4. What is the company charging for ad spots?
Don't know. But, all spots for Q4 have been sold. Keep in mind it takes some time for any show to get off the ground and succeed. Even the most successful shows weren't hits right out of the gate. We expect greater success in 08.
5. How many minutes of ads are built into the show?
Don't know. Ad time is negotiated through the PRC. Companies pay for time, and that time is shared with the PRC so that they also receive a financial benefit. Not sure what the time split is with the PRC.
6. Will AAGH provide an earnings call in the near future?
We're still too small for that.
7. Will AAGH present at an investment conference in the near future?
Not sure.
8. Is the company competing for any media opportunities in the upcoming Olympics?
It is the company's intent to explore all opportunities. This would most likely fit within our core businesses.
9. Are there opportunities for non-celebs to participate and profit from their winnings?
No. All contestants are celebs, because all winnings must go to charity. That's a PRC rule (the charity part). I think the recent PR may need to be amended. I'll contact the home office to clarify. (He didn't seem very confident in this answer)
10. Are there any plans to produce and broadcast additional episodes beyond what the company is doing right now?
Not sure. This is a PRC issue. The 104 episodes is referring to new episodes only, not reruns. The show could expand next year.
11. Was the recent advertising opportunity press conference aimed at 2008 ad revs only, or also for 2007?
2008.
12. Is the company planning to give any internet interviews?
We want to, but we don't have anything to announce. We'll let you know through a PR.
13. Does the company intend to deepen its relationship with 2way and Celedor?
We are exploring all opportunities.
14. How is the company paying for the linktone service? Fee for service, or rev share?
Don't know. We weren't expecting to have this rev stream available, so it's all new to me.
15. What is the expected profit margin from this rev stream?
(Pause) I can't say, it would just be a guess. All networks in China are owned by the PRC and they take their cut out of our revs. I (speaking for himself) really don't know what to expect at this point.
In his last answer he said that some numbers were being thrown around, but that they may not be accurate. He thinks someone misinterpreted a statement that was made. That could be true, or he might just be in damage control mode.
This guy was a little edgy, but very candid in his answers. He's clearly experienced in this field and did a good job representing AAGH, imo.
Beaches and Gib...you were right, I was wrong. If I offended you...I'm sorry. GLTA!
