The idea behind splits are to do f/s as companies grow and creates more liquidity, this is what MS did. Keep a small share count and it can happen and this creates a wonderful investment. More money and more shares.
In this sector r/s seem to be the trend because the sharecounts get beyond what is acceptable and reasonable. 50 million is perfect and 70mn top shelf and never more than 100mn a/s. Then lots of good things can happen if a company is managed right.
