I see the North pole is melting but the South pole isn't. The South pole had a melt from 1999 till 2005 in one area, none after 2005 and in other areas the ice has grown. The South pole's ice is on land. The North pole is all ice.
Now my point>> If you drop an ice cube in a glass of water it floats but doesn't stick out of the water? I'm not a scientist but I think it's due to the weight and density. Same goes for the North pole, most of the ice is under water. Like one big ice burg the North pole has no land to support it. When water freezes it expands....so if the North pole were to melt wouldn't the water dislacement be less, not more? Thus the effect of the North pole melting might not flood New York City or sink my island like Al G. depicts in his film.
Hey Al, water expands when it freezes.
Can I get a Nobel Prize for this post? I saved New York:)
