"The country is tired of neocon arrogant, aggressive and failed policies. You don't see that in Bush's poll numbers? 24% is a record low that surpasses both Nixon and Carter at their lowest points"

The country is tired of apparent 'failure', as is pushed in the news media every single day. We want instant gratification, or at least gratification in less than ten years. Incidentally, if you go back to the initial invasion, I think Joe Biden said it would not be a quick operation, but one that might take ten years. The situation in Iraq has been much worse than anticipated. Americans like to win, don't like enduring bad news. In my view, the 'aggressive' policies of Bush were his strong suit. Thank God, he didn't follow the Clinton policies of making speeches, and imploring the international community to help, after 9/11. Clinton had already indicted Bin Laden, what more could he have done?

I'm not a fan of Bush, and am disappointed that he seemed to give up the public relations war after being reelected. But like many Americans, I am much more disappointed by congress, which enjoys even lower poll numbers than Bush.
