I always thought that there were a two-fold plan with the ASNAP patent: squeeze the very last drop of blood out of investors in the first company; get a buddy to sue the company. Show that you can't go to the USA to defend the company, because there is a buddy in Central America that claims fraud against the company; get extradited to Central America and have a no travel restrictions placed until the case is over there. Not defending the patent will put it in the hands of their US buddies, and then they will start a new company, perhaps Gridline Technologies.

But the lastest developments prove otherwise
