In my very unprofessional opinion, I would think that any crash (no matter where the engines or fuel) would pose danger to the occupants. Of course, I could be wrong. When I flew to, and from, Germany in May, I was completely happy that we had engines and fuel, but was concerned about a possible fall from 45,000 feet.
