Did you happen to notice that the plant mentioned produces its biofuel from soybeans, not peanuts, as PHGI is planning.

And while I think that it's great that this new soybean plant is opening...it really is great....every bit helps and congrats to them and to Alabama!

BUT, did you know that biofuel from soybeans produces about 50 gallons per acre, whereas biofuel from peanuts produces about 120-130 gallons per acre? There are other differences as well, so when you're asking why PHGI doesn't do this or that, you are in effect comparing apples to oranges...or to put it another way.....soybeans to peanuts!

I think that PHGI knows what it's doing and what it wants to create. I think that we'll all end up very happy!
