Perihelion utilizes existing technologies and opportunities to help provide for and meet the needs of our economy. Perihelion is focusing first on renewable energy with the development of a Bio-Diesel Fuel Operation through our Energy Division. Perihelion, the city of Opp, Alabama, Covington County, Alabama and Covington County Economic Development Commission recently announced the development of this $41M bio-diesel refinery to be located in Opp, Alabama. This 66,000 sq. ft. facility will have the capacity to produce approximately 40 million gallons of bio-diesel fuel per year. The Company also plans to add additional bio-fuel refineries across the country.

The Alabama plant will produce its bio-diesel fuel from peanut oil and plans to employ between 75 to 110 employees over the next 36 months. These will include a wide variety of positions and skill sets from entry level to middle management positions with an average wage of approximately $15-$18 per hour.

NATURAL RESOURCES

Perihelion has also acquired two FCC licensed broadcast facilities, both in the Southeastern United States. WCMA-AM is a 50,000 watt broadcast facility covering portions of Alabama, Florida and Georgia. WTKN-AM is a full time broadcast facility serving Mississippi. WCMA-AM is one of the most powerful FCC licensed broadcast stations in North America and is licensed to broadcast its signal at the maximum power (50,000 watts) allowed AM stations under FCC Regulations.
