Internet Sector: 3Q07 preview - Merriman

Merriman believes co's in the internet sector that are likely to beat ests include SourceForge (LNUX), Loccal. com (LOCM), LivePerson (LPSN), ValueClick (VCLK) and Sonic Foundry (SOFO). Firm believes that The Knot (KNOT) could see some downside due to increased expenses related to the integration of the Wedding Channel and attrition in its local advertiser base. Short squeeze candidates include Local.com (18.6% of float is short), Bankrate (RATE) (40.2%), Investools (SWIM) (12.4%) and TheStreet.com (TSCM) (16.9%).
