Norm Ehrlich, Trendsetter CTO, advised the Santa Clara University Engineering team and helped them with their solar thermal design. The final design credit however, goes to very bright the Santa Clara Engineering Student Team who are actually competing in the Decathlon. Norm Ehrlich stated, "We are very interested in Trendsetter systems being implemented with absorption chilling technology. We hope to be offering an air condition option which uses solar hot water to our customer's in the not to distant future."
Dirk Atkinson, Trendsetter CEO, stated, "This is a win, win for TrendSetter and the SCU Engineering team. TrendSetter last year reported a large turnout at the 2006 West Coast Green Building Conference. The Company reported that the response by the public and professional interest to the Company's products was extraordinary and their booth was packed non-stop for the entire three days of the conference.
The attendance this second year of the conference is expected to exceed that of last year, with Steve Wozniak, Apple Computer's co-founder, as one of three keynote speakers. Additionally, the Sunset Magazine House of the year will be opened for the first time to the public and will be offering tours to the exhibit attendees. TrendSetter reported in June that they had contributed their products and engineering to the Sunset magazine project and will be available for viewing on the tour.

TrendSetter Solar Products, Inc. has signed contracts to supply solar hot water systems to a one hundred forty-nine unit, eleven building, apartment building complex under private ownership in San Diego. The value of this equipment only contract is $147,800 and will entitle the owner to approximately $31,500 in rebates and approximately $63,000 in Federal Tax Credits after installation costs are added of approximately $95,000.

In March of this year, TrendSetter reported that the Company had signed a Letter of Intent to supply $1,250,000 of solar thermal hot water systems to NOVA Designs + Builds for their seventy-five home Red Apple Ranch project over the next sixty months.

TrendSetter management, Dirk Atkinson (CEO), Norm Ehrlich (CTO) and Jim Holmes (CFO), recently visited the project in Calaveras County, California to inspect the first two homes that are nearing completion. "These homes are perfect examples of how solar thermal technology can be utilized in engineering and qualifying homes for the EnergyStar® program," stated Dirk Atkinson.
