How many here have any idea as to how prevalent it is for companies to have convertible preferred shares?

For example, Dow Chemical just issued some. IBM has debentures.
I bet I could go look at the balance sheets of hundreds and hundreds of MAJOR companies that hold in toto millions of shares of preferred convertible stock.

So just what is the big deal? Once revenues start flowing with PHGI, the preferred shares won't even be an issue.
