from the September/October issue of the online version of the American Scientist.

In mentions the documentary “Who Killed the Electric Car?”, the California Air Resources Board, discusses some of the chemistries involved in lithium ion batteries, the issue of thermal stability, the lithium iron phosphate cathode solution, the University of Texas patent, A123 Systems [partly in the context of patent issues], the lithium titanate anode solution [rapid recharge but lower energy density], Altair Nanotechnologies, AeroVironment, Phoenix Motorcars, and Tesla Motors.

Altair is to be the supplier to Phoenix Motorcars. However, today it was reported that Phoenix is delaying its production. As a result, one analyst has downgraded Altair.
