I find it interesting that people find this interesting.

It's like anything else...
1) Not everyone will observe the same phenomena
2) Not everyone will make accurate judgments about phenomena.

Charts can frequently give ambiguous or even conflicting results; accuracy of interpretation depends on correctly assigning probabilities of outcome.
