ishmael, my "sudden expertise" on controlled demolitions? Far from it, BUT I've read articles by plenty of people who have expertise, and I'm not taking the word of a liar, the liar being the guy who headed Project 6 of NIST which was to determine how the towers fell.

Do internet polls reflect what the large majority of Americans are thinking? No, they don't. If they did, Howard dean would be president today.

The MSM played the Howard Scream constantly until it had done it's damage. In the case of Ron Paul, it appears that they have chosen to ignore him. Both tactics will work.

I used to be one who thought that we needed as much as government as possible. With the widespread corruption we have now, I no longer hold that view. There are definitely things about Ron Paul that I don't like, don't like at all, but if he's the guy who can change our foreign policy, then he'll get my vote in spite of me being a liberal and wanting Michael Gravel. I'm tired of politics as usual.

Anyway, I'm pretty sure that I can switch parties for the primary and then for the general election. I have to check.

On a side note, for the first time in my life I had canvassed for a presidential candidate (John Kerry), and when he handed Bush the Presidency without an argument, all hope for me went out the window. I thought he really cared. Apparently, it was all an act.

We are still in Iraq. What happened to the Democrats in leadership positions who promised we'd leave?
