Maple Minerals Corp. (“Maple”) and Brownstone Resources Inc. (“Brownstone”) jointly announce that they have entered into an agreement whereby Maple has agreed to issue a total of 480,950 common shares of its capital stock to Brownstone at a deemed price of $0.40 per share, in settlement of debt owed by Maple to Brownstone in the amount of $192,380.00. The shares issued to Brownstone will have a 4 month hold period from the date of closing. This transaction is subject to acceptance by the TSX Venture Exchange.

CANADA - Mega Uranium Ltd (MU) was granted an option to acquire a 55% interest in the Poplar uranium project, located in Saskatchewan, of CanAlaska Uranium Ltd, a uranium mining company, for 8.85 mil Canadian dollars ($8.868 mil US). The consideration was to consist of 8 mil Canadian dollars ($8.016 mil US) and 0.2 mil MU common shares valued at C$0.85 mil ($0.852 mil). The shares were valued based on MU's closing stock price of C$4.25 ($4.259) on October 2, the last full trading day prior to the announcement.
