Ron, I don't know the exact qualifications, but, I do know it is much easier to be a teacher here than, say, in NY.
I have known people that came down from NY to get a teaching job, and some I know down here are quite a bit short of college degrees (some college, probably like you said, with a certain amount of credits).
Are you thinking of coming down here to teach, Ron? :)
They can definitely use some good teachers down here. (Private schools are not bad...public schools, fughettaboutit...)
Also, with the population explosion down here, they have built 4 new schools over the past 3 years in my area alone. I don't know where they're going to get the teachers...?
