Fred: I see nothing from APS or Alaska Airlines that says Alaska Airlines has "agreed" to purchase any more units at this point. The agreement announced by APS "allows" Alaska Airlines to purchase more units.

"The agreement between the two companies allows Alaska Airlines to purchase as many as 6,000 digEplayers by February, 2009."

e.Digital modified it to say:

"Alaska has agreed to purchase up to 6,000 additional units."

If the agreement simply agrees to the terms of any potential purchases but does not agree to any specific purchase, then e.Digital's PR is misleading. Since there is no range given (such as 2,000 to 6,000 units) it would appear that there is no minimum order.

Additionally, it's a sloppy PR. The State of Alaska is not involved in the agreement, Alaska Airlines is.

Thanks for the welcome back. I returned on 2/5 but have been too busy to keep up with e.Digital stuff. The vacation in Florida and cruise thru the Panama Canal were wonderful.
