As it was said during the founding of our great country, "Vigilance is the price of liberty".

Think about this simple statement and re-read iblong2's post.

He is absolutely right on this - keeping silent, although safe in the short term, is not always so safe in the long term. Defending an ideology or religion when you are not a member of that belief is turning a blind eye. I would expect those who ARE members of a group to speak out in their OWN defense. I get a funny feeling when the members of a group are silent about the misdeeds of another member. Silence implies complicity and therefore the statements of peace are faulty.

Yes, we should be absolutely vigilant, but not just on the religious side of things. Our OWN leaders seem to have the penchant for power and WE must be so careful of what our leadership is doing. Not just abroad, but here as well. Habeus Corpus? Is that some kind of A Capella group at Harvard?...
