WARNING FOR CD AND PREFERRED SHARES CERTIFICATE HOLDERS:
The common shares certificate you are supposed to get from converting the CD certificate is not accepted by both TD Ameritrade and ETrade. I expect this is the case for the preferred shares certificates too (they are converted to common shares too, right?). I contacted Choice Trade to see if this is the case with other brokers and waiting for their reply. The warning ends here but read on if you want a more personal view on the topic.

This is my story for those who's care/like to know. I received TDA's reply with rejection more than 2 weeks ago (check my previous posts) but ETrade confirmed they can accept the CD and handle the conversion process for me and deposit the new converted common shares but strangely, the CD certificate was returned back to me with a rejection letter. I thought they misunderstood and attempted to deposit the CD itself directly before converting it which would be normal to fail. I checked with them if this is the case but they replied to me that "we are no longer accepting any securities related to Pearl Asian Mining". More or less TDA's reply!

I encourage everyone to contact their brokers asking if they will accept PAIM's common shares certificate or not before attempting to convert at all and ask also what should they should do with their new certificate (besides using it for wall decoration that you could get something much better for $50). The same question could also be asked to the transfer agent, what should I do with the common shares certificate you give me??? Will you enforce the brokers to accept it or get out of the game after issuing the new certificates?

This could be a good sign for some (less dilution coming) and bad sign for others (why brokers are rejecting PAIM? what's coming in the future?). In both cases, it's definitely a financial loss for the certificate holders and raises many red flags, turns on many red lights, and sets off a couple of sirens for me. I have a lot of conclusions about this company that I want to share later but for the time being, I'm watching PAIM only to complete the learning experience.

Please post here the result if you contact your broker or the transfer agent regarding this issue.
