After you read it, you'll see that these illegal naked shorters don't even have to have shares in hand in order to short. They just short them anyway.

There's one story about a guy who owned 100% of the shares of a company, and he had all of those shares in certificate form in his sock drawer, and yet over a two day period the shares in the company that he owned 100% of traded 60 million shares. And he had filed a Sch 13-D.

There is some action coming on October 15th that might help curb this madness at least somewhat. I guess we'll see.
