Not to be to cynical as I still hold some cor in a couple IRA's, but I once saw George Soros invest 5.6 million of early 1990's dollars, only to see the share price plummet.

It did bounce on his news of him being involved in corx, but then then had to burn through the cash, on their way to try to find their amps......

Anyway, Just because you are smart and have money, does not mean that you have great timing.....
