"9/11: Press for Truth" features the Jersey Girls, the Family Steering Committee, and the story of the 9-11 Commission. It's largely based on the work of "The Woodward & Bernstein of 9/11," independent reporter Paul Thompson and his Complete 911 Timeline.

Some of the questions the movie covers include:
Why had the U.S. military defenses, particularly NORAD, failed to stop any of the four hijacked planes, particularly when the plane crashes were separated by nearly two hours?

What about the lack of response, both by the President, who sat in a public school in Florida after the second plane had struck, and his Secret Service detail, whose standard procedure is to grab the President and move him to safety, the morning of 9/11?

How is that steroids in baseball is worthy of Congressional hearings, but when we have the largest structural collapse in U.S. history and the largest loss of life since the Civil War, not one Congressional official wants to know how this happened?

Why was a potential suicide-pilot/conspirator who turned himself in nearly a year before 9/11, plus intelligence about hijacking American planes from fourteen nations, plus the Bush-requested Presidential Daily Briefing of August 6, ignored?

Why did the Justice Department, based on a FBI threat assessment, begin flying the Attorney General and other department officials by private charter jets, as reported by Dan Rather, CBS News, on July 26, 2001?

(As detailed by the London Times, Knight-Ridder newspapers, Newsweek, the New Yorker, and other mainstream media sources) Why was Osama bin Laden, Al Quaeda, and their Taliban supporters, allowed to escape first to Jalalabad, then to Tora Bora, and ultimately into Pakistan?

Why did the administration first block, then stall, then hamstring, and only then, stubbornly cooperate (if you can call it that) with an investigation?

Why did only about 30% of the questions provided by the Family Steering Committee get asked and answered by the 9-11 Commission?

The 9-11 Commission was a perfect vindication of the above quote. Many of the most important questions raised by the 9/11 Families and the Jersey Girls were pointedly ignored by the 9-11 Commission because they would have been politically harmful. What questions were never asked? What questions haven't been answered? What questions haven't been answered satisfactorily?

CONSPIRACY

Some elements of the "9/11 Truth Movement" have raised important questions. But in our view, most of the conspiracy theories that have emerged are speculative. Some are lunacy. Frequently, there has been a real tendency to assert that accurate details are somehow connected into a web of high intrigue.

Our position is that "Big claims require big evidence." In fact, the evidence must exceed the claim. Most of the victims' families are not willing to accept vast government-plot stories because the evidence thus far has not exceeded the claim. These charges would be unlikely to stand up in court either. And the American public has been turned off by these theories.

The focus must be on the questions, which, up to this point, haven't, in many cases, even been officially asked. And when it comes to questions, proper attention must be paid to the methods of holding public officials accountable. These questions should be asked under oath, with necessary subpoena power and the ability to prosecute wrongdoers, or, at a minimum, a willingness to fire them and take their pensions. Perhaps then, we'd have "cooperative" witnesses. Perhaps then, we'd get real answers. And perhaps then, we could put all the conspiratorial speculation to rest.

To be clear, our position is the same as Congressmen and Presidential candidates Ron Paul and Dennis Kucinich. We believe Al Qaeda supplied the manpower and flew the planes. We believe foreign policy blowback was the primary motive. We believe that the neo-conservative agenda benefited from 9/11. And most important of all, we believe that . . .

It's about the questions: The Jersey Girls and the 9/11 families deserve real answers to all of their questions, while the American people deserve real accountability from their public officials.

That's it. Period.

And if you don't like that position, please don't write us to set us straight. There isn't any argument on this subject that we haven't already encountered and considered many times over. On the other hand, if you agree with our approach to this issue, then please send a message to your representatives in Congress demanding that they, finally . . .

Conduct a real investigation
Answer all the questions
Hold those responsible directly accountable

Maybe once we've had proper accountability will know the truth. Until then, it's about the questions. And the Jersey Girls deserve answers.

This is an excellent film. It takes a "Joe Friday" approach to the evidence—presenting "the facts, and nothing but the facts." If you hate conspiracy theories, this DVD doesn't present any. If you love conspiracy theories, this DVD doesn't refute any. Instead, it just provides the evidence of government failure. It's the perfect way to let Congress know that you know that the government botched its responsibilities.
