If a Sears tech replaces a heating element, it's about a $185.00 repair.

$65.00 service call charge, $45.00 labor, and retail on the element is about $75.00.

It's over $115. to replace a thermal fuse.

My dryer is about 25 years old. If I couldn't fix it myself it would have gone to the appliance graveyard years ago.

Dryers have almost become disposable appliances like toasters.
