That's why Atlanta had 1,000,000 people when I was born, and now the ever expanding metro Atlanta area contains close to 5.5 million (if you count the migrants)

It's cheaper to live in the South no doubt. I would guess the effects on the cost of living are hitting the more expensive places more than it is here. But the effects are trickling.
