Yep same here. Just like SUVs, we are being brainwashed into thinking we need bigger and more elaborate homes for "status".

Atlanta is STILL building because the developers are buttbuddies with the politicians, who are kin to the bankers, etc... it's a good ol boy system down here.

I think Atlanta developers are still clinging onto the fact that so many Northerners relocate here for the cheaper cost of living. But even that reasoning is starting to wear thin.

Pretty soon all the new condos in downtown Atlanta will look like Tokyo. I have a few friends who tried to flip new condos within the past couple of years, only to take 5 digit losses because they couldn't unload them fast enough before another new development popped up right next door or down the street.

I mean, who wants to buy "used". That's so passe' lol
