I take your post to be your special way of signalling how extremely positive the dropping of the Sony-BMG lawsuit will be.

The phrase you quote from the update strikes a correctly chosen cautionary note. That is prudent and informative. On my reading, if Sony-BMG took that decision, presumably after hearing the opinions of their own attorneys, the real chances of a re-institution must be exceedingly low.
