By many adolescents, maybe. I haven't supported belittling names for Intel products, and I don't for AMD products either.

That is fine. Have you ever called the Itanium the Itanic( the Inquirer, anyone)? Either way, good for you. Have you voiced your opinion about name calling to people who have called it the Itanic?

Remember this is banter in cyberspace. It is human nature to be a little comical and light hearted at times. Especially when not all the facts are in, and speculation is rampant. The fact is,(ok, I will call it by its proposed marketing name), the Phenom 3, will have to stand on its own and succeed based on its own merit, not on what it is called on a message board.

For what its worth, in a vacuum, the tri-core idea is brilliant from AMD's point of view. We do not live in a vacuum and you should expect less than brilliant results.
