I see this [tri-core] (again, if it happens) as a bizarre segmentation play that isn't going to help AMD at all in the long term, and is a waste of engineering resources.

I find it interesting that AMD and its fans are focusing thoughts and discussion on "tri-core" rumors, when in fact the subject of conversation should be the news that the Barcelona launch is a complete disaster. That and the fact that AMD will continue to hemorrhage millions is what AMD is trying to quell. Of course when there is no good news to talk about today, you start talking about the future. Intel has and will have many weapons it can use to fend off tri-core. Oh yeah, Barcelona is a huge disappointment and tri-core rumors will not save the day.

IMHO
