But the Indian DNC list system is setup to operate substantially different from the US system. And Teleblock was designed specifically for the US system.

Teleblock is designed to be implemented by the telemarketers. That means that Call Compliance can sell many-many copies of the same software. It runs against a database at the very moment a call is placed, and if there is a hit (match) then the call is blocked. It is a totally automated approach.

From my reading of how the Indian system works Teleblock would not necessarily be a good fit. Or, at the minimum, it would be redundant and therefore not needed by the individual telemarketers since they are still required to submit the phone (or SMS) number to the government agency who then runs it against the database.

Maybe the Indian gonernment will buy ONE COPY of TeleBlock to use with their database and that will get the job done. Given the way it is described in the press I just don't see the point of every telemarketing firm buying their own copy of TeleBlock. They STILL have to submit the phone number to the Government agency who has the final say whether the call can be made.

But if you still think that Call Compliance is going to sell thousands or millions of copies in India, that's YOUR conclusion. You are certainly entitled to make that judgement should you choose to. However, I don't see it that way, based on the way their system is currently described.

That's not to say they won't change the system. Systems like this tend to evolve over time, from being largely manual toward a more automated approach. But that would be a future development.

I certainly would not rule out the possibility that Compliance Systems (COPI) might act as a consultant to the Indian Government. Actually, consulting is one of the main activities of Call Compliance's PARENT company, Compliance Systems.
