Members of U.S. Congress and aviation security officials will soon hear about a unique plan to eliminate time-consuming and cumbersome baggage searches at airports by separating passenger baggage from domestic flights.

Richard Altomare, CEO of Florida-based Universal Express, Inc. (OTC Bulletin Board: USXP) which comprises subsidiaries Luggage Express, Virtual Bellhop and Bags-to-Go luggage handling services, will present his plan to encourage travelers to ship their bags prior to departure in the same way that five billion parcels are shipped yearly by businesses and consumers.

Altomare has hired a lobbying firm on Capitol Hill to make sure all key Members of Congress and aviation and homeland security sources in Washington, D.C. have an opportunity to review his proposal, which he believes significantly reduces the prospect of infiltration of terrorist devices on board planes. According to Altomare, the luggage service would pick up bags from your home or business and transport them to your final destination, employing the U.S. Postal Service, UPS, FedEx, and DHL. Luggage Express already performs such services. 'It insures all shipments and, in the 10 years it has been in business, the service has a 100% baggage success rate,'said Altomare.

'My proposal now circulating on Capitol Hill would give passengers choices whereby it would be less expensive and easier to ship bags ahead than carrying them,'said Altamare. 'Such a luggage system would result in reasonable luggage shipping prices all Americans could afford, while increasing security. It would aid the Transportation Security Agency and expedite the movements of passengers and luggage handling in airport terminals and lower ticket prices.'
