The presents -- yeah we haven't wrapped any yet. I send mostly via online mail-order so there aren't many "outgoing gifts" at our house either.

About 5 or 6 years ago, I was walking past a fancy store in our area and they had on display a tree decorated purely with purple and white items. Oranments, ribbons, and baby's breath. It was very striking and original. So I immediately go home to get a "second opinion" (which happens to be the only one that counts), lol.

She took a look at the tree and approved, so we went into the store and bought as many of the items used to decorate the tree that were left. For the items that were out of stock, my wife shopped around and found suitable substitutes.

The funny thing is -- when my wife told people over the phone that we decorated our tree in purple and white -- the'd saw "WTF ?" or "Ewwwwwww !!" or something else critical.

But when they came over and saw it .....

We have diverged a little from the pure purple and white -- you know -- we decorate it with other stuff too.
