No..it doesn't mean that the seating should be at least 8000 for the next event. Remember the name of the game is to make money not lose it. I can only imagine how much Sun had to pay for the AA Center. By putting the event in such a huge facility Sun is operating at a loss before even holding the event. Another thing that should be remembered is that the availability of these super arenas may not be there due to the pro basketball and hockey seasons beginning soon. That could explain why the underground cage fighting can be held in larger arenas..but, the arenas aren't home to pro sports teams so therefore they are available and probably much cheaper. The underground cage fighting venues are also in large population centers...not as large as Dallas, but still large. That equals more fans and future PPV customers. It wouldn't do to have the AOW events in these areas due to their lack of name recognition. 'AOW4 live in Wichita Falls' just doesn't have the same level of class or legitimacy as 'AOW4 live at Harrah's Casino' People relate to that and respond to it...it rings of class and glitz and a show. You have to look a little deeper than just the number of seats a facility has to see the real value. I've also noticed that most of the known MMA brands are holding their events in casinos....there's gotta be a reason for that. It surely doesn't appear to be hurting them. So, I'm not concerned at all with the smaller venues. Think about this too...most people that visit casinos are from somewhere else..these people will go back to their hometowns, states, countries, etc. and tell their friends who will be future PPV customers..(remember the theory of 4!)Every show they put on wins them more fans and supporters and exposes their brand. Before you know it, AOW is as well known as UFC, WWE, IFL, etc. I believe that's the company's focus right now...EXPOSE THE BRAND. As long as they continue to put on a top notch production and event and they aren't held in a high school gym, I don't care where they hold them, as long as they are holding them.
