Give me a break. Intel had capped the speed of 80286s at 12.5 MHz. So, they didn't have the better product. Everyone else had faster 286s, some were much faster.

And it wasn't like Intel had a pricing advantage.

Which was why Intel had to make deals like that to move the product.
