Corky, I've been on simvastatin the past three years, and since it doesn't do much for lowering LDL, my doctor recommended taking Vytorin, which contains both Zetia® (ezetimibe) and Zocor (simvastatin). Well, my LDL went from 100 down to 63.

Question I have is understanding this "relative risk" for people going from Lipitor atorvastatin to simvastatin tablets. Although I've been a type I diabetic for 20 years, my health is excellent.

Any cardiologists or knowlegable folks on statins have any thoughts regarding this UK finding, as well as any other information on this subject.

Thanks!
