At first glance, your explanation looks very compelling. But I think the devil is in the details.

You can get a free mobile phone of your choice from any manufacturer including the queen of mobile phones Nokia when you sign up for a 18 or 24 month contract with most mobile operators in UK, USA and most likely all of Western Europe.

Under these circumstances, you might want to recalculate TCO for Apple's iPhone.

Would you pay for a mobile phone when you get one of your choice (other that iPhone) for free ? I certainly would not unless I work for GS.
