Also, outsided has posted that shorting is even possible with U.S. brokers (possibly through their offshore affiliates), if the short is covered before market-close, on the same day that the short is initiated. Because the broker does not have to "borrow" any shares, because there is no overnight short position..


Please name one ... it’s really easy for people to talk nonsense on these stock boards - but not so easy to back up the BS they spout...

Ask whoever is posting such fairy tales to give me the name of the broker I can short paim with... as a regular buyer/seller with my on line trading account

Not some Mickey Mouse story about foreign countries , of shore accounts or some story about US brokers and out of country connections

Duh! Most major brokers have global connections or branches
