Over trading....indeed an interesting topic I've been contemplating myself as of late...

leaving the contest aside....if one sets a monthly goal of say 10% & reaches this goal prior to eom should u continue trading? If not, than at a minimum shouldn't 1 simply carry trade til month end just to bag the e z interest?

The other side of the argument of course is...continue to trade trying to pad that 10% (or whatever the goal may be) so as to take some pressure off for the following month. If I did that however I'd surely wind up given back all my profits (& then some most likely...lol) in turn adding more pressure for the following month after it was all said 'n done :0

I was so close this month too....I was seriously contemplatin sitten on my early gains after week 1....think I was up almost 10%.....but then my very next trade was long aus/usd & I was up on that early....dint take my profit as I should've & then got whamboozeled as it took the plunge. Too funny, it was on such the upwards elevator ride for soo long....then priddy much as soon as I jump on it free fell. I stayed in cuz I thought there'd be a decent retrace back up.....but it never panned out. A perfect example for setting a stop loss.....if I woulda've, I most likely woulda finished in the green 4 the month.

OK....note taken & lesson learned (hopefully)...for Sept I will finally enter into all my trades w/stop losses....as I shoulda been doin all along I suppose. Guess I was just gettin lucky up until this month as I never really had a reason to set one.....all my positions either came back to go green or at least recovered enuff to make it a fairly minor loss after closing out the trade. I've also increased my leverage from 20-1 to 40-1.

Just for chits 'n giggles....is there a way to enter a ghost contestant whose only strat is to carry? Would be a hoot to see if that style beats us all.....looks like it woulda've this month...lol

2 trade or not ta trade?
